ALZHEIMER'S CARE we recognize the special needs of people with Alzheimer's disease and other related memory impairments.  Our approach to caring for our residents with memory loss is to understand and address all their emotional, mental and spiritual needs as individual.  It is our goal that our residents with memory loss experience a happy and stress free life.  Our administration and staff strongly encourage family involvement.  Dementia is a disease that touches the entire family and is shared by whoever is part of the resident's life.  We work closely with the family and loved ones to ensure the residents well being.

Our Alzheimer's Care services include nearly all of the Assisted Care services plus partial list below:

• Ongoing Staff Training on latest Alzheimers/Dementia care & safety
• Special Activities and Scheduled Programs
• Meals, Snacks and Hydration
• Working closely w/ physicians to limit use of medications (if appropriate)
• Sharing Resident Life Stories
• Assigning house chores (ie. folding clothes, setting up place settings, etc.)
• Encourage family participation and communication
• Enjoyable music therapy
• Nostalgic wall murals throughout to help draw fond memories
• Location monitor bracelet/anklet device thru the Visalia Police Dept 'Project Lifesaver' Program
